CHRISTMAS PARTY

The Christmas lights, the old pine tree with a star on the top, the hustle and bustle on the road for the end of the spur shopping and the party vibes throughout the city of Mumbai gravitates me into this ever so bright, beautiful festival of Christmas and welcoming a new year into our lives.
Spending hours and hours of my day watching Zoella on YouTube makes me want to decorate my house with fairy lights, surround myself with Advent Calenders and give it a go at making the gingerbread house.

Despite being a Hindu, I never leave a chance at celebrating any festival irrespective of the religion or rituals. That is why my house is as lit up and festive as it would be for Diwali.
Coming from a Catholic Convent School, I was always exposed and surrounded by the Christmas vibes and the most interesting part of Christmas is receiving gifts from Santa Claus and getting dressed up for the party.
Oh yes, till the age of 10 I did believe in Santa Claus just like any other child but got my hopes crushed later. Nonetheless I still receive gifts from the ever so loving Santa Claus in form of my mother.

Well when it comes to parties my mother would always get the last say at what I would wear and let's just say it still continues but the styling part is all me.
This year for Christmas I wanted to go with the ever so classic- Little Black Dress. No one and I mean No one can ever go wrong with a black dress. Not only it makes every girl look sexy but it is also the most easiest thing to accessorize and show off the bright, bold jewelry that you own.

This Little Black dress isn't a normal one as I made some changes in this particular one as well. This dress was originally a halter piece but I was quite unsatisfied by the look of it and the next thing I did was, I got the tie up pieces stitched to the back of the dress and Tada I got the best fit and result out of it. The dress also has a sparkly attached belt below the bust area which gives a structure to the dress as well as compliments the festive vibes.
I simply paired it up with a neck piece which has the most gorgeous hues of green, gold and brown. This accessory stands out against the black dress and matches the party mood one would be in. Finish it up with a pair of black sexy heels just to add a bit of sexiness to the look.

Makeup- Go for a berry or plum lip color to match the winter feels and keep it simple with just a touch of blush to give a natural flush to your face and a winged liner.
