Another year, Another Adventure

Image
It has been such a long time since I have blogged and it feels great to be back at it. There has been so much going about in the last two months and that to all special and eventful things. I got to experience living alone in a foreign country and still going on strong, travelled to few beautiful places in Scotland and experienced the demon in the form of exams.  Beginning with the month of October, Ahhh my favourite month of the entire year because it's my birthday month and for the first time I would be spending it away from home but unfortunately without my mumma. Aside from being at Glasgow, I went on an adventurous trip to a small town nearby called Balloch. Taking the early moment Scot rail, My friend and I reached the lake side town and was taken back by the beautiful nature and quite ambience. Unfortunately due to the lack of information, we missed the speed boat but luckily we jumped on the cruise and were a spectator of the mesmerising islands and castles. But it was ...

WINTER IS COMING FT SHEIN.COM

Image
WINTER IS COMING It's been approximately 1 month and 10 days since I have been away from the hot and humid weather of Mumbai and have been staying in the city of Glasgow, Scotland which is known for being cloudy, rainy and cold. Luckily since a month I was able to function the normal way as it was bearable and the rain was nowhere as bad as it is Mumbai. But since few days in the month October I am kind of getting familiar and understanding why people say it gets too much too cold. It has been super windy and cold even at the regular temperature of 10-14 degrees. I am not mentally ready for what's about to come my way in a few days an...

MY LIFE AHEAD

Image
Here I am sitting at 11pm in another country and already reminiscing about my last week in Mumbai. If you'll don't know about my latest life adventure, I am currently in Glasgow, United Kingdom pursuing my post graduation from the University of Glasgow. It was kind of unexpected for me to do that particularly this year but here I am and have already started living the fresher's life in this beautiful country. But this is probably the first time I have ever been away from home for such a long time but though it makes me miss all the comfort, love and laziness at home but it is also encouraging me and making me an independent adult here. It has been just more than 2 weeks and even though this place is already growing up on me, homesickness has been hitting me hard. I have been just thinking about my last few amazing weeks at Mumbai and this particular blog is one of those glorious days. Every month my mother and I make a trip to Thane and along with the scenic dri...

BOLLYWOOD INSPIRED

Image
Whenever I watch a Bollywood movie on the big screen with complete feel and loud sound sequences, along with enjoying the Rom-com, dance numbers, I also scrutinize the clothes the actresses wear in the movie. Guilty as charged but to be honest all girls do that. And there has always been one question on my mind, where can I get the exact outfit and entire look from?  I can definitely tell you that many a times I have rushed back home, opened all shopping apps and have started browsing through like a crazy lady but have always come up with one conclusion, "the looks that I love are never available anywhere". Even though I want to pair up my individualistic style with something Bollywood inspired but there is hardly anything in the market that fulfills my wishes.  There are few websites that do sell clothes by branding a certain collection to be movie inspired but after you start checking that particular collection, it is nothing close to what they are advertising...

MODERNIZED JEWELLERY WITH PRISTINE FIRE

Image
Jewellery is a huge essential in all traditions, weddings and in almost everything Indian. But that's not it, the jewellery has got to make a statement and by that I mean it has to be heavy or should  at least consist of a huge stone. It has to be on the face and out there for the world to notice the jewellery and nothing else. It isn't just a status co but also just a way of showing how deeply invested and happy the people are. But in this case I am kind of an exception like the generation right now in India. I DO NOT like such type of jewellery. I do not detest it but it isn't my thing and I do not like this kind of bling. That doesn't mean I ain't a lady. I just have a more eclectic and under stated taste in terms of jewellery. I prefer modern contemporary, versatile and clean designs. I want that my investment shouldn't be restricted to just one event/ function, I want to utilize my collection of real jewellery for every day purpose or meetings...

BEING INDIAN

Image
Hello everybody!! What are you all doing right now? I'm having an absolutely lazy day at home and spending some quality time with my grandmother.  Also I wanted to thank you all for 50,000 reads. Whattttt!!! That's a crazy number and I can't believe that so many people have actually read my blogs. So Thank You once again Today I wanted to write a chill and laid back kind of blog, just like my mood right now. I have shared en number of outfit posts, outfit ideas, inspiration and lots more on my blog and shockingly I have included few Indian outfits as well. I am not a person to shy away from my heritage and culture, rather I stand for who I am and proud of it as well, but I am more comfortable in shorts and loose tee as I have grown up pretty much in these clothes.  Since I started my blogging career, kid you not, I have always, either consciously or subconsciously, included an Indian attire and loved working with it wholeheartedly. I have started embracing the comfort and...
