RED, LACE AND TWIRL

Image
Hello to all you gorgeous people. First of all Thank you so much for 3,000 reads on my blog. This type of response in a short amount of time is overwhelming but motivating at the same time. It might seem nothing to few people but for me it means the world because I started this journey with no connections, no blog knowledge and no support. And now I have so many of you guys visiting my blogs and social media pages and helping me to create an impact. Thank you once again. Might be wondering what the subject line "Red,Lace and Twirl" means? Well these 3 words are perfect to sum up the dress which I am going to talk about. There used to be particularly only one thing I preferred in the colour red and that is a lipstick. I absolutely love red lipsticks because they bring that instant glam look even when you don't have any makeup on. The absolute style cheat!! But Red colored clothes have never attracted nor enticed me in any shape or form. I was just stubborn in my tho...

FOOD EXPERIENCE FT. GURUKRIPA

Image
Going beyond the horizon and trying new things have always been my thing. I have always been open to experimenting and doing things which make me nervous. Might sound weird but yes that's how I am.  When I got approached by Blue tan Advertising Company to visit one of their restaurants and try the food there, I was first overwhelmed because they saw my hard work even though it has been just 5 months into blogging and secondly I was pretty nervous because I have never dealt with food tasting or food blogging ever. The 2 F's- FASHION AND FOOD usually go hand in hand but I have never tried food in a critical manner. But I didn't waste much time in comprehending and just grabbed on to this opportunity. My first impression of the restaurant was that it is not one of those extremely over the top restaurants but just simple, low down, everyday kind of a place. It is absolutely casual but offers various cuisines which caters to everyone's taste buds. Me and my mother we...

GO SAFE OR ALL OUT FOR THIS DIWALI FESTIVAL

Image
" Many Deepavali festivals have come and gone. Yet the hearts of the vast majority are as dark as the night of the new moon. The house is lit with lamps, but the heart is full of the darkness of ignorance. O man! wake up from the slumber of ignorance. Realize the constant and eternal light of the Soul which neither rises nor sets, through meditation and deep enquiry." P.S- KINDLY READ TILL THE END. THERE IS SOMETHING I WANTED TO CONVEY TO MY READERS.  Diwali has finally arrived. Not only it's all about the lights, decorations and rangoli but also a great excuse for everyone to get ready and put their best foot forward. For the people who don't know what exactly Diwali is, it is way more than just a "festival of lights". It is the day when Good conquered the Evil. It is also considered to be a new beginning in everyone's life. This festival is celebrated by every Hindu household throughout the world. The Diwali week begins with Dhanteras- the ...

STRIPES ANYDAY EVERYDAY

Image
Hello!! I know I've been MIA for a while. I was getting some important stuff done but it isn't an excuse for my absence and that is why I have many many blog posts coming your way. I'm extremely pumped up, joyous and that is why I want to give it back to you guys as well. That is why from the next blog post onward I am going to begin a series. This is something I had in mind  for a very long time and finally I got the platform to put it into action. I know I've slightly off topic but I just wanted to introduce it to you people.   Beside from the plain, basic tee we go for, there is typically another pattern which majority of us find it comfortable to wear is Stripes. Stripes is like the dog hiding in the corner. We are aware of it's presence but it's quite unpredictable as it might not be friendly to everyone once it comes out of that corner. There are basically just 2 types of stripes available, Horizontal and Vertical. But it might not be everyone'...

It's Time For A Come Back ft. Stalkbuylove

Image
As we all know that Fashion just like history always repeats itself . The year 2016 has been all about fashion comebacks . The 80's choker style and loose mom jeans have made a tremendous impact not only in India but also throughout the world. Instead of going for chunky pieces of jewelry we prefer a single choker to complete the look. Same is the case for jeans. There would be a time when we girls would prefer super skinny jeans to "flaunt it like we mean it". But now it's all about the comfort and cool vibes the boyfriend or mom jeans give. There has been another clothing item which has made a comeback in the second half of the year and that is Jumpsuits. Few years back when I was in college, Jumpsuits suddenly crept up and became an ultra glamorous style statement. Not only that but at that particular time jumpsuits were literally everywhere. Right from street shops at Colaba Causeway, Linking road to high end stores like Zara, Mango.  I,too was quite fascinat...

LA ROCHE POSAY- IS IT WORTH THE HYPE?

Skin being the largest organ of our body requires and deserves all the attention. All are aware of the fact that skin and beauty go hand in hand. For the makeup to sit well on the face, it is necessary to have a good, prepped up skin. Don't want to go all blotchy now, do we? Skin problems are faced by everyone on this earth. Hardly anyone is blessed with the perfect skin. But if you are, then I do envy you. But anyway, one of the most common skin issue faced by girls and boys of all age group and yes I mean by all age groups is acne. It's not just faced by teenagers anymore, there are cases of adult acne as well. We have heard from pretty much everywhere that the causes of acne are stress, lack of water intake, wrong skincare products and so on. Even after taking so much care, there is always that stubborn, irritating bugger which does pop up and mostly at the wrong time. Ugh Why?? In this fast paced busy life, we hardly have the time to invest in our selves and make packs...

MY LIPSTICK STORY

Image
"A small girl since the age of  7 years old would always sit next to her mother whenever her mother would get ready before going out for any family event. She would always wonder why did her mother put lipstick? The child was very intrigued and wanted to try that colorful stick on her lips. But her mother would never allow her to do that. Being the inquisitive child she was, she would always ask the reason for it and  she would always get the same answer that lipsticks are just for adults and it would spoil her rosy pink lips. The child couldn't really do much about it and thought that maybe it just wasn't for her." Might be wondering who that child is? Well that child is ME. From a very young age and even till now I've never been much into makeup except for lipsticks. Being from a strict convent school in Mumbai, at such a young age we weren't allowed to use any makeup. It was embedded in our minds that lipsticks are for the elders and not for us and ...
